How to Replace the Rancilio Silvia Heating Element

  1. Unplug the machine and allow it to cool completely
  2. Remove the top and side panels to access the boiler
  3. Drain the boiler before disconnecting any fittings
  4. Photograph all wiring connections before disconnecting the element terminals
  5. Unscrew the element from the boiler and remove the old seal
  6. Fit the new seal and thread in the replacement element — do not overtighten
  7. Reconnect wiring, refill the boiler, and test before returning to use

Tip: Always replace the boiler seal at the same time as the element — this kit includes both, saving you a second service call.

The equipment rental or lease does not include installation, which customers are required to arrange at their own cost.

Please check the equipment’s dimensions to ensure it will fit into the space you’ve allocated for it in your venue.

Also, please ensure the equipment’s electrical rating or gas type is compatible with your venue’s electricity or gas supply.

Warranty

Our ‘Certified Used’ and second-hand equipment is backed by a three-month parts-free warranty.

Brand new machine comes with a 1-year free parts warranty, but the parts come with a 3-month warranty.

If the equipment develops a covered fault within the warranty period, call us or email info@bearcoffeemachine.com.au

We’ll organise a free repair, replacement, or refund.

Once the equipment is out of warranty, customers are responsible for meeting any repair costs.

  • Complete Packaging: Must include the original box, all internal padding, manuals, and accessories.
  • Factory Sealed: Original security seals must remain untampered with.
  • Note: Defective or damaged items are exempt from these condition requirements.

No Restocking Fees
We believe in fair service. We charge $0.00 restocking fees for all eligible returns. You will receive a 100% refund of the product cost.

Return Shipping & Costs

  • Change of Mind: The customer is responsible for return shipping to our warehouse (Unit 4/1 Bluegum Way, Menai, NSW, 2234, Australia) using a trackable service.
  • Damaged or Defective: If your machine arrives with an issue, we cover 100% of the return shipping cost via a prepaid label.

Arrival Inspection
Coffee machines are precision instruments. Please inspect your delivery immediately. Any transit damage or missing parts must be reported to info@bearcoffeemachine.com.au within 48 hours for a priority replacement.
