Isomac Mater Pressurestat — XP110, 0.5–1.2 Bar
The pressurestat (pressure switch) controls boiler temperature on your Isomac espresso machine by cycling the heating element on and off to maintain a set pressure. When the pressurestat fails — typically with its internal contacts welded shut from years of electrical arcing — the element runs continuously, boiler pressure climbs past the safety zone, and the safety relief valve opens. This is the correct Mater replacement pressurestat for the most popular Isomac models.

Symptoms of a Failed Pressurestat
- Boiler pressure gauge climbs past 1.2–1.5 bar and doesn't stop
- Safety relief valve opens and vents steam during operation
- Heating element runs continuously without cycling off
- Machine overheats
Installation Notes
- Always unplug and fully cool the machine before replacing the pressurestat
- Release all boiler pressure before removing the old pressurestat
- Photograph wiring before disconnecting the spade terminals
- Apply 2–3 wraps of PTFE tape to the thread before fitting
- Thread in by hand first, then tighten firmly — do not overtighten
- On first heat-up after replacement, monitor the gauge to confirm the element cycles on and off at normal pressure
