Isomac Boiler Safety Relief Valve — 1/4" BSP

The safety relief valve is a critical boiler protection component on your Isomac espresso machine. It opens automatically if boiler pressure exceeds the safe limit — protecting the boiler from damage. If your machine is venting steam from the safety valve during normal operation, or if the valve is weeping or dripping after a pressurestat fault has been repaired, the valve seal has been damaged and the valve must be replaced.

When to Replace the Safety Valve

• Valve vents steam during normal operation (boiler pressure within normal range)
• Valve weeps or drips after a pressurestat repair
• Valve has been repeatedly actuated due to a failed pressurestat
• Valve body is visibly corroded or scaled

Installation Notes

• Always unplug and fully cool the machine before replacing the valve
• Release all boiler pressure before removing the old valve
• Apply 2–3 wraps of PTFE tape to the thread before fitting
• Thread in by hand first, then tighten firmly with a spanner — do not overtighten
