When Should You Replace the Boiler Heating Element?
Replace the heating element if your BFC espresso machine is showing any of the following symptoms: the machine takes significantly longer than usual to reach operating temperature, the boiler fails to heat up at all, the machine trips the circuit breaker when heating, or a continuity test on the element shows an open circuit.
How to Replace a BFC Heating Element
Heating element replacement requires draining the boiler, disconnecting the electrical terminals, and unthreading the element from the boiler fitting. Always allow the machine to cool completely and isolate it from power before beginning. If you are not confident working with boiler components, Bear Coffee Machine offers professional in-house servicing — contact us to book.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a genuine BFC heating element? This is an OEM-specification element designed to the same standards as the original BFC component.
How do I know if my heating element has failed? Use a multimeter to test continuity across the element terminals. No continuity (open circuit) confirms the element has failed and needs replacement.
